Tinkering convierte lingotes, troncos y tablas en herramientas, piezas, relojes, instrumentos, joyas y recipientes. Se trabaja en cualquier sitio, con las herramientas de tinker en la mochila.
Lo que necesitas
- Herramientas de tinker (tinker's tools) en la mochila. Las venden los tinkers; con 35 de Tinkering también te las haces tú (4 iron ingot).
- Lingotes de hierro (iron ingot), que venden los herreros y los tinkers, o los tuyos fundidos en una forja.
- Troncos (log), que venden los carpinteros o se cortan de los árboles con un hacha, y tablas (board), que venden los carpinteros y los tinkers.
No hace falta forja ni mesa: se trabaja en cualquier sitio.
Fabricar
- Haz doble clic en las herramientas de tinker. Se abre el menú con los grupos del oficio: Containers, Parts, Tools y los demás.
- Cada grupo muestra lo que puedes hacer ahora mismo, con el material entre paréntesis: solo aparece lo que tu habilidad permite y para lo que llevas material. Un grupo sin nada a tu alcance no aparece.
- Elige el objeto. Si sale bien, el juego dice «Guardas … en tu mochila» y lo tienes allí.
Piezas que hacen otras piezas
Algunas cosas se montan con lo que ya fabricaste. Aparecen en el menú en cuanto llevas sus piezas:
- Reloj (clock): un marco (clock frame, de troncos) y un mecanismo (clock parts, de hierro). Con doble clic te dice la hora.
- Sextante (sextant): de sus piezas (sextant parts). Con doble clic te dice dónde estás en grados, como en las cartas de navegar.
- Laúd y arpas: troncos y alambre de hierro (iron wire), que se hace con un lingote.
- Pergaminos y mapas en blanco: de Papel, que sale de un tronco.
Empezar de cero
- Ningún arquetipo empieza con Tinkering. Un tinker te enseña: abre su tienda y mira la pestaña Enseñar. Enseña hasta el 45 % de lo que sabe, y los tinkers saben entre 45 y 68: te dejan entre 20 y 30 puntos.
- Con eso ya haces lo más sencillo: muelles (springs, 13.7), tijeras (14.5), engranajes (gears, 14.7) y bisagras (14.8), un lingote cada uno. Desde ahí, fabricar es lo que te sube.
Lo que se fabrica
Por grupos, de la habilidad más baja a la más alta. Entre paréntesis, el nombre del grupo en el menú del juego. Las pocas piezas que piden otra habilidad la llevan escrita: el cofre de madera y el papel son de Carpintería y piden sus herramientas, el martillo de herrero es de Blacksmithing, y los instrumentos piden además Musicianship. El oro y la plata no los vende nadie: se minan y se funden con 65 de Mining.

Amuletos
Lo más alto del oficio: piden casi 100 de Tinkering, 80 de Magery, cien lingotes de un metal raro y tres Ancient Weapon Stone, que llevan la Esfinge y el Gladiador. Esos metales salen de la mina con entre 93 y 99 de Mining. Solo aparecen en el menú cuando llevas todo lo que piden.
