Bulk orders

Smiths and tailors order pieces from crafters: you make them, hand them in and are paid gold, fame and points that buy rare ingots and monster leather.

A shop counter at night: a parchment order with a red wax seal beside finished swords, a leather-bound book with brass corners, gold coins, ingots and a balance scale, with helmets and folded cloth on the shelves, by candlelight

What they are

Some shopkeepers order pieces from players. Smiths (Armorer, Blacksmith and Weaponsmith in the game) order smithing: 51 of them in today's world, in Jhelom, Britain, Skara Brae, Minoc, Trinsic and Vesper and more. Tailors and weavers (Tailor and Weaver) order tailoring: 18, in Britain, Vesper, Nujel'm, Ocllo, Delucia and Jhelom and more. An order asks for 10, 15 or 20 of one piece. You fill it with pieces made by a crafter, yours or another player's, hand it in and are paid in gold, fame and points of that trade, which buy rewards.

Asking for an order

  1. Double-click the shopkeeper. Its shop opens with a fourth tab, Orders, beside Buy, Sell and Teach.
  2. Press Ask for an order. The order goes into your backpack and the shopkeeper says what it needs.

A shopkeeper has a new order for you every 6 hours, and keeps up to 3 waiting; the first time, one is already there. When none waits, the tab says how long until the next. You need some of the trade's skill (Blacksmithing or Tailoring): with none, the tab says so.

An order asks for a piece you can make: at most your skill, and at most 25 points below it, so a master is not sent daggers. Below 70 it asks for iron, cloth or common leather; from 70 on, one order in two may ask for any of the metals orders use (Silver, Golden, Copper, Blood Rock, Shadow, Valorite, Black Rock and Mytheril) or monster leather your skill reaches. The rarest metals (EvilSpirit, Mystic, Scorpion, EarthSpirit, Moon, Titanium, AngelSkin, DemonSkin and Elfic) are never ordered. Smithing has 418 possible pieces (49 of iron), from 5.0 to 99.0; tailoring 342 (48 of cloth and common leather), from 0.1 to 95.4. How each piece is made: the smithing and monster leather guides.

A shopkeeper's shop open on the Orders tab: three smithing orders with their progress and pay, Add and Hand in buttons, and the list of rewards with their points
The Orders tab: your orders of that trade and the rewards.

Filling it

Only pieces made by a player's craft count: the game marks what is crafted, and pieces bought in shops or found are refused («Esa pieza no la hizo un artesano: solo cuentan las fabricadas.», a crafter did not make that piece). Pieces crafted before the orders arrived, on 20 October 2026, carry no mark.

  1. In the Orders tab, press Add beside the order. The game asks which piece or bag («¿Qué pieza o bolsa añades al encargo?»).
  2. Target a piece: it goes in and the game asks for the next, until the order is full or you cancel. Or target a bag, or your backpack: every finished piece of the order directly inside goes in at once.

Away from a shopkeeper, double-click the order: its own window shows the piece, how many are in and the pay, with the same Add. The order and the pieces have to be in your backpack, not worn; a wrong piece gets «El encargo pide …» (the order asks for …).

Handing it in

A full order is handed in with Hand in, in the Orders tab of any shopkeeper of its trade. It pays:

OrderPointsFame
10 pieces that need 10.0 skill153
15 pieces that need 50.0 skill5213
20 pieces that need 75.0 skill9523
20 pieces that need 100.0 skill12030

Large orders

From 70 skill on, one order in 5 that you ask for is large: it asks for a whole set of one material, the same amount of each piece (10, 15 or 20). Its picture tells it apart: a bundle of tied parchments. Smithing has 63 sets: each kind in iron and in each metal orders use. Tailoring has 62: each kind in every monster leather, and a few in cloth and common leather.

It is filled like a small one, with Add: a piece, a bag, your backpack or the order book, or a full small order of one of its pieces with the same amount, which fills that piece at once if none of it is in yet (the official way). Its window lists each piece and how many are in.

The window of a large smithing order: the set Copper Maces & Hammers, 20 of each piece, with each piece and how many are in, the pay and the button to add
A large order: each piece of the set, and the pay.

Handed in, it pays the gold of all its pieces and twice the points. In the game, a set of Copper Maces & Hammers, 20 of each of its 5 pieces, paid 13,680 gold and 800 points.

Rewards

Points are spent in the same tab, with Redeem, and the reward goes into your backpack. Each trade has its own points: smithing points buy the smiths' rewards, tailoring points the tailors'.

The order book

The book (libro de encargos) holds orders and nothing else («En el libro solo caben encargos.», only orders fit in the book): it opens like a bag, and the Orders tab finds the orders inside it. Orders and the book stay with you when you die and cannot be stolen; they can be traded.
